So for this Style and Design in PR Messages class we have a huge project due and we’ve really only had the knowledge needed to complete it for about a week. It’s hard, but I think it will be worth it. Having to work doesn’t give me enough time to work on it. I guess I’ll be fine, but it’s difficult. We have to have a website as our resumé, a tutorial, a flash, a short magazine, a pamphlet, etc. I’ll keep on keeping on.

Present Crisis in the Middle East
July 30th, 2006 by Patrick Moseley in Uncategorized · No Comments
It’s not Lebanon that is the enemy of Israel. The enemy is Hezbollah and Hamas which is funded by Iran. It is a war that we shouldn’t get in the middle of. But maybe we should. All this fight is over land. This means that the militant groups such as Hezbollah have not ‘encivilized’ and fight over nothing. We should be aggressive with our actions towards Iran. We should do to Iran what we did to Iraq. Or should we?
Chick-Fil-A Team Leader’s Summit
July 19th, 2006 by Patrick Moseley in Uncategorized · No Comments
This past weekend I was graciously sent to Atlanta, home-office of Chick-Fil-a, to hone and better my skills as a manager of my store on Magnolia Ave. I spent three days in classes that included self-change as well as leadership enhancement. The time was educating in that, not only did I have these knowledge-building classes, but I met people from across America who were also leaders of Chick-Fil-a’s. We shared and gave new ideas to better our stores. I feel that everyone should experience this life-changing journey. As a group we climbed Stone Mountain. It was rough, but worth it. Any thoughts?
Cow Appreciation Day?

On July 14, 2006, Chick-Fil-a along with supporters of the restaurant celebrated Cow Appreciation Day. The catch was that if you came in dressed as a cow in some form or fashion, you would get a free sandwich. If you were fully dressed as a cow, you would get a free meal. A lot of people played the part as cows on this day and Chick-Fil-a benefited from it. This is a very innovative way to both celebrate and promote.
Space Exploration…
July 9th, 2006 by Patrick Moseley in Uncategorized · No Comments
Should we continue to explore and spend money on space exploration? I’m neutral on this matter, but the question still stands. We spend millions on space missions and we don’t really have anything to show for it. We went to the moon, there’s a spacestation and we can see other solar systems/galaxies, but why keep going? What is the point?
Supergroup…
July 9th, 2006 by Patrick Moseley in Uncategorized · No Comments
VH1 had a series called Supergroup that brought several rock artists together. This was more like a reality show, but the difference is that each rock artist was talented and together made songs and formed a band. It had it’s cheesy parts, but the music rocked. At the end there was a concert and the band played their own songs and some cover songs. I guess this is some PR for each Artist, saying that they are still as crazy and cool as they used to be. Ted Nugent rules. What do you think about the idea of bringing talented people together and being productive?

Today, July 4, 2006, a day which will live in…explosive celebration. Shel Holtz had a post that told us that the real day of independence was on July 2, 1776, two days before what we know as Independence Day. Whatever our date is, we know that we are independent of tyranny and anything thereof. Bottle rockets, Roman candles, sparklers and such will light up the sky so that we can see our freedom, even in the night-time. Happy Independence Day, everyone.
95.9 the Tiger…

Recently, I acquired an internship with Tiger Communications for this coming fall. After two or three e-mails to the lady at Tiger Communications with my need-more-work resumé, I was asked to come in and ‘talk.’ I went to the studio and after a 10-minute interview, I was in. I’ll get to hang out in the studio, hang out in Sales, go on the road for sales, hang out at Tailgates and basically learn everything about Radio and PR. It is very exciting to me and I can’t wait.
“Gentlemen, fire it up and start your engines.”

Sunday, June 25, 2006, Jeff Gordon won his fifth career race at Infineon Raceway in California. Now I’m no NASCAR fan, but this race was a little different. It was a road course, meaning; the race flowed in the opposite direction than usual, and it was curvy like an Indy track. The PR contribution to this race was Cheech Marin from “Cheech and Chong.” He added the part in the start-up about fire it up alluding to his misadventures with his movie-drug-friend Chong. It was mainly a publicity stunt for his role in the movie “Cars.” It was very humorous. By the way, in my opinion, Jeff Gordon and NASCAR both suck.
Stakeholders and Blogs…
June 25th, 2006 by Patrick Moseley in Uncategorized · No Comments
Blogs are very important for stakeholders, whether they be the ones who have invested in your service or members of your organization/group. Blogs are the quickest ways for stakeholders to get news of their subjects, being they are up to the minute…up to date. The internet provides this ability to blog, making it easy to distribute information. I think that all organizations should have blogs to inform its members. Stakeholders have a right to know the hows, wheres, and whys about their company. This blogging is also the most frugal form of communication. We all know that companies look for cheaper ways in any situation.
